Missions

Our vision is to help cultivate in believers a heart for the lost around them. Our missions program must begin at home with faithfulness in spreading the good news of Jesus Christ to the lost within our community. Faithfulness to the task of discipleship is critical to the life of a new believer and to the health of the growing church body.

Regarding national and foreign missions, God’s Word clearly establishes the mandate and method. We will prayerfully attempt to follow the pattern established in Acts 13 and 14.

Two foundational principles guide our philosophy: churches plant other churches; and churches deploy and provide accountability for Biblically qualified missionaries.

We desire to back all of our missionaries with strong prayer, financial and fellowship support. Our earnest desire is to support fewer missionaries for significant financial support. We see three practical benefits of this philosophy: it reduces time spent raising support, it yields greater exposure of the missionary to our church family, and it will reduce the exhaustion factor of our missionaries returning to the field following times of reporting and visiting fewer supporting churches.
