Our Pastors

Pastor David Strehlow

strehlow family Pastor David serves Liberty Hills Baptist Church as Senior Pastor. He and his wife Jennifer have five children—four boys and a girl. David trusted Christ as Savior and Lord as a young boy growing up in Ottawa, Kansas.

Following his ministry training at Bob Jones University (BA, MA, M.Div) he married Jennifer and entered full-time ministry in West Virginia as an associate pastor over youth and music in 1992. After seven years of fruitful ministry, the Strehlows moved to Liberty to start a new church with the support of Tri-City Ministries in Independence.

David enjoys overseeing the flock and ministries of the church. His passions include faithful exposition of the Word of God, personal discipleship, and anything having to do with his wonderful family.

Tim graduated from Bible college in 2001, where he met the love of his life, Valarie. After graduation they moved to Independence, Missouri, where Tim finished his Master’s in 2003. It was during this time that the Lord led them to Liberty Hills and they then moved to the northland shortly after. A year later, the Lord blessed them with a daughter, Carly, with whom they love spending time.

Tim’s passion is for the clear teaching of God’s Word and seeing believers joined together in unity and worship. Tim and Valarie believe the Lord has called them to one day plant a church.

Pastor Eric Stanley

Pastor Eric Stanley Pastor Eric serves as the youth pastor for Liberty Hills and is responsible for the oversight of the various teen minstries that Liberty Hills offers including: Sunday School, Teen Impact, Monthly Youth Activities, Summer Camps, Youth Missions Trips, and Youth Outreach.

Eric graduated from Bible College in 2007 where he met his wife, Christina. Following graduation they decided to move back to Missouri to further their minstry training. After graduating seminary this past spring Eric and his wife Christina received the call from Liberty Hills to come and serve with them as youth pastor.

Eric’s passion is relationships. First and foremost he desires to see the relationship between parents and teens grow. It is in this foundational relationship with the parents that true discipleship and spiritual growth will occur. In addition, We will strive to see teens grow deeper in their relationship with God, to see teens develop relationships with others in their community, and to see teens accurately present the Gospel in a relevant way to those they come in contact with.
